    Mike McElroy, Owner & Administrator

    Mike grew up in Jackson and is an MSU graduate, with degrees in Turf Grass Science, and Agronomy.  After working in the golf course business for several years, he had the opportunity to purchase what is now Highland in 2006.  Since making that decision, he has not regretted it for one minute.  He says, "I am more active, more fulfilled and have a greater impact on serving others."  His heart is to serve the residents and staff that he employs.  He can be found working alongside staff every day, to help enrich the resident's lives and to make each day count. He truly is highland employee of a lifetime.

  • Jewel

    Jewel Payton, Healthcare Administrator

    After years of in home hospice care of family members, Jewel was given the opportunity to leave her hometown of Baltimore Maryland, to move to Jackson Michigan to further her career in direct care services. Over the last 10+ years she has served the community of Jackson with compassion in many fields of care such as, those with mental disabilities, Alzheimer’s & Dementia management and end of life care. Today you will find her working aside Highland’s wonderful team, guiding them to provide the best possible care to our elder community.

  • Carlie

    Carlie Delaney, Executive Assistant/Activities Director

    Carlie is an Ohio native who graduated from Coshocton high school. She later went to EMT school where she fell in love with the medical field. she then got her CNA license to continue caring for those in need. As her skills and knowledge grew, she transitioned from direct care to Human Resources. Later in life Carlie moved to Michigan where she found Highland Assisted Living. Today she continues to share her knowledge and skill to better improve the lives of our staff and residents.
